It amuses me anytime I see EoD listed amoungst his best, especially from Roke when he's the one most likely to harp on those UAE gimme races. Were it not for those UAE races, would he even have over a million in earnings?
EoD was a fraud as a racehorse and is on his way to being a fraud of a stallion.

Monarchos? Jack Dreyfuss (Hobeau) has always taken a shot on young sires - he got Swap Fliparoo out of Exchange Rate's first crop. Throughout the years, he's helped to get a lot of young stallions off the ground.
What synthetics are to California racing:

I'd actually agree with this sentiment for the most part. Although, his foals have looked fantastic. His family is interesting but the Erin branch of the Cherokee Rose clan has left something to be desired (for the most part) in producing stallions. Family of Fupeg, Coronado's Quest, Private Terms, etc.

We bought another Exchange Rate this past week. That's 3 Exchange Rate fillies... all 2 yo's for us. I think we're going to sell one though. I really like this new one though. She's a Florida bred but we have her at CD.

It is and it's not. It's one of those branches of a VERY good and influential bluehen that gets real hot and then real cold. His dam was a pretty good filly (overrated though in my opinion).
This direct branch (Erin) is responsible for obvious standouts Ruffian, Coronado's Quest, Fusaichi Pegasus, etc, but they've been bred to the best and given every chance. There's a ton of mediocre horses in it to show for it.

That's not the ONLY reason! He's got Mr. Leader on top, Nodouble on the bottom, as well as that rare line to Lady Be Good, he's tail-female to the great bluehen Escutcheon and has Round Table/Feola also in the mix. What's there not to like? In all honesty, you're starting to see his name pop up on some good horses. He's one I think people on a budget should look for.

But why give up on him against Street Sense in this race? This is showtime for the Sightseeing- if he doesn't win this one, I'll concede that he's just not as good as I thought he'd be (barring a legit excuse)....and not as good as Shug thought he'd be, either.
Thought I would quote this just in case someone's finger was getting close to the edit button.
